Alien: Earth Cast Shares Vegan Xenomorph Filming Experience

The new FX series Alien: Earth, created by Fargo's Noah Hawley, serves as a prequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi horror classic and features a star-studded cast including Timothy Olyphant and Sydney Chandler. Central to the show's terror are the iconic Xenomorph creatures, with performer Cameron Brown embodying the alien in an eight-foot practical effects suit. Despite the character's frightening on-screen presence, the cast revealed that Brown, a vegan who often snacked on carrot sticks and hummus, was surprisingly gentle and even humorous behind the scenes. The actors admitted they were not scared of the Xenomorph during filming, finding it easy to run from a man in a suit rather than a supernatural threat. Lead actress Chandler described Brown as "the sweetest person in the world," highlighting the contrast between the terrifying alien and the real person inside the costume. FX also engaged in extensive marketing for the series, including an Alien-themed burger and shake at Black Tap, which successfully captured the franchise's vibe with unique ingredients and presentation.
