Andrew Porter Signs Two-Year Extension with IRFU

Andrew Porter has secured a two-year contract extension with Ireland and Leinster Rugby, committing to the team until 2027. Porter's consistent performance, including starting all 11 of Ireland's Tests in 2024 and earning 70 caps since his 2017 debut, underscores his value to both Andy Farrell's squad and Leo Cullen’s Leinster side. This announcement follows Tadhg Furlong's contract extension until the end of the 2026/27 season, despite being linked to a move to Bayonne in France. Furlong, who debuted in 2015 and has 78 caps, has played a pivotal role in winning three Six Nations titles and has been a key player for the British & Irish Lions. Both players' commitments are seen as significant boosts for Irish rugby, ensuring top talent remains in the domestic league. IRFU performance director David Humphreys praised Furlong's world-class abilities and emphasized the organization's dedication to retaining elite players.
