Dembélé Wins 2025 Ballon d'Or by 321 Points
Ousmane Dembélé won the 2025 Ballon d’Or with 1,380 points, finishing 321 points clear of Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal after a season in which he helped Paris Saint-Germain to a historic Champions League victory and a domestic quadruple. France Football’s published ballots show Dembélé was the first choice of 73 of the 100 journalists who voted while Yamal received 11 first-place votes; PSG midfielder Vitinha completed the podium with 703 points. Other top-10 finishers included Mohamed Salah (fourth, 657), Raphinha (fifth, 620), Achraf Hakimi (sixth, 484), Cole Palmer (eighth, 211), Gianluigi Donnarumma (ninth, 172) and Nuno Mendes (tenth, 171). In the women’s Ballon d’Or, Barcelona and Spain midfielder Aitana Bonmatí won with 506 points, narrowly ahead of Mariona Caldentey (478), with England’s Alessia Russo third (420) and Alexia Putellas fourth (388).
