Laurie Canter secured his second DP World Tour title by winning the 2025 Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship in a dramatic play-off against Pablo Larrazábal and Dan Brown. Canter, who had finished the final round with a flawless 69, took advantage of Larrazábal's error on the 18th hole, where Larrazábal bogeyed to fall into a tie. In the play-off, Canter executed a precise drive and approach shot, setting up a straightforward birdie putt to clinch the title. Larrazábal's wayward tee shot into water and Brown's bunker troubles left them both bogeying the play-off hole. This victory marks Canter's second career win on the DP World Tour, following his maiden triumph at the European Open last season.
