An Alaska Airlines flight from Lihue, Kauai, to Seattle was diverted to Honolulu after four flight attendants fell ill due to an unidentified odor in the cabin. The attendants, aged 28 to 59, experienced nausea and disturbed coordination and were taken to a hospital for evaluation. None of the 119 passengers or other crew members reported symptoms. The aircraft was subsequently flown back to Seattle without passengers for further inspection, and the airline is working to re-accommodate affected passengers on other flights. This incident follows similar odor-related diversions on Alaska Airlines flights in recent months.
