Rangers Appoints Nils Koppen as Technical Director

Rangers Football Club has appointed Nils Koppen as their new Technical Director, expanding his responsibilities beyond his previous role as Director of Football Recruitment. Koppen will oversee the club's transfer strategy as well as manage the men's Academy, medical team, football operations, performance, and analysis departments. Interim Chairman John Gilligan praised Koppen for his leadership and relationship-building skills within the club. Koppen expressed his commitment to ensuring high standards across all areas that support the men's first team, emphasizing that 'winning is all that matters at this club.' This announcement comes as Rangers seek a new CEO following a series of changes in their management structure. The men's team is currently third in the Scottish Premiership, while the women's team sits second in the SWPL.
