Local Toy Drives Support Holiday Charities

As the holiday season approaches, various organizations are stepping up to help children in need through toy drives. Menards in Aberdeen and St. Cloud are both hosting Toys for Tots collections, encouraging shoppers to donate new, unwrapped toys suitable for children up to 12 years old, with drop-off boxes available until early December and December 20, respectively. The Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis Club's Kiwanis Santa House, now in its 17th year, aims to serve over 500 children by allowing families to select gifts at no cost, with donations accepted until November 27. Meanwhile, Weirton is organizing a toy and food collection for the Salvation Army, with public collection boxes available until December 9, coinciding with the Christmas on Main Street festivities on December 2. Local leaders emphasize the importance of community support to ensure every child experiences the joy of receiving gifts during the holidays.
