Ten Arrested in Western Washington Drug Gun Trafficking Bust
Federal and local law enforcement recently arrested ten individuals involved in interconnected drug and gun trafficking conspiracies in Western Washington, seizing a large quantity of narcotics and firearms. The operation, a result of a year-long investigation led by the DEA and Seattle Police Department, confiscated around 100,000 fentanyl pills, 34 kilograms of fentanyl powder, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, 34 firearms, and $40,000 in cash across multiple locations. U.S. Attorney Charles Neil Floyd highlighted the severe community impact of these drugs and the danger posed by the trafficked high-powered assault weapons. DEA Seattle Field Division Special Agent David F. Reames and Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes commended the collaborative effort, noting the threat the organization posed to Western Washington and the importance of removing these lethal substances and firearms from the streets. This bust is part of Operation Take Back America, targeting transnational criminal organizations involved in drug and firearm trafficking. The defendants appeared in U.S. District Court in Seattle following their arrests.
