Netflix to Remove French Comedy Series Call My Agent! in July

Netflix is set to remove several beloved series this month, including the highly praised French comedy-drama Call My Agent! and the award-winning family drama This Is Us. Call My Agent!, which follows talent agents at a Paris-based agency and features real-life actors playing themselves, has been a fan favorite since its 2015 debut and holds a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score for its first season; however, the show will leave Netflix on July 22 despite plans for a fifth season and a feature film. Meanwhile, This Is Us, known for its multi-generational storytelling and strong ensemble cast led by Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia, will be removed on July 8, though fans can still access it via Hulu, Prime Video, and Apple TV. In addition, Netflix is pulling the acclaimed comedy-drama Insecure, created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore, which has been praised for its sharp humor and portrayal of Black womanhood, after three successful seasons on HBO and a popular run on Netflix. These removals have sparked disappointment among viewers who have expressed their frustration on social media. Content removal is typically due to licensing expirations, but Netflix's lineup continues to evolve with new additions and departures.
