Multiple Arrests Made After School Bomb Threats

Recent incidents of bomb threats at schools across the United States have led to several arrests. A 19-year-old student from Cebu Technological University in the Philippines was apprehended for allegedly posting a bomb threat on social media during midterm exams, and she faces charges under the Anti-Bomb Joke Law and Cybercrime Prevention Act. In Middletown, Ohio, a school lockdown was initiated after an anonymous voicemail threatened to 'shoot up' a school, resulting in the detention of a 7th-grade student. An exchange student from China living in Brooklyn was charged for sending bomb threats via email to a school in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, following a history of similar threats. Additionally, a 13-year-old in Newton County, Georgia, was arrested for making terroristic threats, amidst rising concerns for school safety after a recent mass shooting. Lastly, a 19-year-old in Baker County, Florida, was arrested for claiming he had a bomb in his backpack, leading to further investigation and detention.
