Irish Fashion Designer Found Dead on Montauk Yacht

Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, a 33-year-old Irish fashion entrepreneur and founder of the swimwear brand East x East, was found unconscious and later pronounced dead aboard a boat docked at the Montauk Yacht Club in New York. Authorities reported no signs of violence in a preliminary autopsy, and although foul play is not currently suspected, an investigation by the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad is ongoing to determine the official cause of death. Nolan-O’Slatarra had recently finalized a divorce and was in a new relationship, planning to marry her American boyfriend, with whom she spoke shortly before her death. The only other person on the boat at the time was the male owner, who was found naked and distressed, reportedly seeking help from neighboring boats. Witnesses described a chaotic scene, with the man attempting to awaken others on nearby boats, while CPR efforts by bystanders were unsuccessful. Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced, with family and friends mourning the unexpected loss of a promising entrepreneur and beloved daughter.
