Used Two-Wheeler Platform Vutto Raises $7M Series A To Expand India Footprint
Vutto, an Indian startup founded in 2024 by Rohit Khurana and Sitaram Ankilla, has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round led by RTP Global with participation from existing investor Blume Ventures. The company operates a full-stack, phygital platform for buying and selling certified used two-wheelers, offering benefits such as a six-month warranty, free services, and comprehensive paperwork support including insurance and financing. Vutto aims to expand its footprint beyond Delhi NCR while strengthening supply, refurbishment, and customer service operations, capitalizing on India's large and fragmented used two-wheeler market which sees nearly 10 million pre-owned vehicle sales annually. The startup has sold 1,500 vehicles within a year, with typical listings selling within 12 days, and has established partnerships with banks to channel repossessed two-wheelers, providing better value to both lenders and buyers. Despite challenges in the sector, including recent shutdowns of competitors like BeepKart and CredR, Vutto focuses on building a low-cost and scalable operating model with profitable store-level operations. Investors praise Vutto’s approach for bringing trust and infrastructure to a high-potential but underserved market segment.
