FAMU-MVSU Joins Atlanta Gridiron Classic

Florida A&M University's football game against Mississippi Valley State University on October 4, 2025, has been moved from MVSU's home field to Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium as part of the inaugural Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic. This event will also highlight other marquee college football matchups, such as Georgia vs. Georgia Tech and Georgia vs. Florida in coming years. The Rattlers aim to avenge last season's upset loss to MVSU in front of a large Atlanta alumni base, continuing FAMU's recent successful run in Atlanta. The game marks FAMU's third consecutive season playing at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, following wins in the Celebration Bowl and MEAC/SWAC Challenge. Mississippi Valley State, coached by former NFL standout Terrell Buckley, will seek to repeat last season's surprising victory. Tickets for the Classic's inaugural game are being released first to Georgia Tech season ticket holders, with wider sales to follow.
