Air Canada to launch multiple nonstop international flights from U.S. cities in 2026

Air Canada is expanding its international and regional flight offerings in 2026, introducing new nonstop services from Cleveland to Montreal and from Columbus to Montreal, both starting May 1, 2026. Cleveland Hopkins International Airport will add daily flights to Montreal, marking it as the airport's fifth international destination and providing convenient connections to European and North African cities. Columbus Regional Airport Authority highlighted Montreal as a strategic gateway with U.S. customs preclearance, enhancing travel convenience. Additionally, Air Canada will resume nonstop flights from San Antonio to Toronto three times a week starting May 1, 2026, restoring a key international route and marking San Antonio's 10th nonstop international destination. Concurrently, Air Canada is adjusting its regional network in Canada by adding new routes connecting Ottawa to Fredericton and Moncton, and increasing flights from Fort McMurray to Vancouver and Sudbury to Toronto, while suspending service to Bathurst and North Bay for commercial viability. These changes reflect Air Canada's strategy to meet growing travel demand and optimize network efficiency.
