Porter Adds 13 Nonstop Sun Routes, Eyes Exclusivity

Porter Airlines is expanding internationally with 13 new nonstop routes from Toronto, Ottawa, and Hamilton to five sun destinations: Cancun and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, Nassau in The Bahamas, Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands, and Liberia in Costa Rica. These direct flights, set to begin as early as November 2025, mark Porter's first service beyond its Canada and U.S. network. Porter will operate these routes with its 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, offering no middle seats and complimentary refreshments. The airline will be the exclusive operator on several routes, including Ottawa to Grand Cayman and Liberia, and Hamilton to Puerto Vallarta and Nassau. This expansion positions Porter in direct competition with larger Canadian carriers and is expected to boost tourism for the featured destinations. The move aims to provide Canadian travelers with more convenient, layover-free vacation options and strengthen tourism links.
