Health Centre, Supermarket Approved in Epworth, North Lincolnshire

The South Gloucestershire Council has approved plans to build a new health centre on the site of the former Thornbury Hospital, which ceased operations in 2018. Meanwhile, in North Lincolnshire, a similar project has been approved that will combine a new health centre with a supermarket on the site of an existing garden centre in Epworth, expected to create about 100 jobs. The local NHS supports this development due to limited parking at the current practice, anticipating a 14% increase in patient numbers by 2032. Despite some concerns over pedestrian access and potential impacts on local businesses, both projects aim to enhance medical and shopping facilities in their respective areas.
