International Creative Economy Conference Starts in St. Petersburg with 1,500 Participants from Over 30 Countries

The International Conference on Creative Economy, starting October 8 in St. Petersburg, will gather 1,500 representatives from over 30 countries to discuss the creative industries' impact on economy and society, intellectual property protection, urban development, education, and international cooperation. A key event is the joint plenary session "Creative Economy of Russia. Horizon 2050," focusing on how creative industries can drive sustainable growth and new cooperation formats up to 2050, with emphasis on inter-country collaboration and state support. Concurrently, an expert session titled "Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" held on October 7 at the National Center "Russia" featured discussions on the "New Economy: Competition for Positive Development." Experts highlighted that economies previously considered developing are now winning competition by creating meaningful images and perceptions linked to products, shifting from price competition to trust, emotion, and cultural significance. Sergey Ivanov of EFKO Group emphasized that branding in the experience economy transforms products into lifestyles and sources of impressions, stressing the importance of ethical considerations in this evolving economy. Both events underscore the strategic role of creative and experience economies in global economic growth and cooperation frameworks.
