Steven Wilson Announces New Album The Overview

Steven Wilson has announced his new album, 'The Overview', set for release on March 14, featuring two lengthy tracks: 'Objects Outlive Us' and 'The Overview'. The album explores the 'overview effect' experienced by astronauts, reflecting both the beauty and insignificance of Earth. Collaborating with musicians Craig Blundell, Adam Holzman, and Randy McStine, Wilson's work aims to push the boundaries of progressive music while presenting stories of life on Earth. The album will also be accompanied by a full-length film directed by Miles Skarin, with a premiere event scheduled for February 25 at London's BFI IMAX. Pre-orders are currently available across multiple formats, including a deluxe art-book edition. Wilson's recent output follows a productive period, including a 2023 album and a reunion with Porcupine Tree.
