Chase Killingsworth Killed in Virginia Crash

Chase Benten Killingsworth, a 39-year-old man from Craigsville, died in a single-vehicle crash on Route 39 in Bath County on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. when Killingsworth's Ford F-250, traveling east, ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and struck a tree. Virginia State Police reported that Killingsworth was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and speed was considered a contributing factor. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is ongoing.
