William Bruce, a 45-year-old man from Fall River, was arrested and charged with armed robbery and two counts of unarmed robbery after allegedly robbing three stores within 30 minutes. The crime spree began around 10:08 a.m. at the Maplewood Mini Mart, where Bruce, wearing a green T-shirt and hat, demanded money with a knife before fleeing. About ten minutes later, Bruce allegedly attempted a second robbery at County Convenience, but fled when the clerk alerted a third party to call the police. At 10:28 a.m., he entered the Family Dollar on Stafford Road, demanded money, but left after saying he just wanted to see the clerk's reaction. Police identified Bruce's white minivan and arrested him shortly after near Huard and Albert streets. No injuries were reported during the incidents.
