TransBnk Raises $25M to Expand Banking Platform Across Asia, Middle East
TransBnk, a Mumbai-based banking infrastructure startup co-founded by Vaibhav Tambe, Lavin Kotian, Pulak Jain, and Sachin Gupta, has raised $25 million in a Series B funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from Arkam Ventures, Fundamentum Partnership, and existing investors. The company provides an API-based platform that consolidates access to multiple banks for corporates, fintechs, and lenders, aiming to modernize India's corporate banking sector by replacing manual, spreadsheet-heavy workflows with a unified, automated system. Despite India's fintech boom in consumer payments driven by innovations like UPI, corporate banking remains outdated, creating a significant opportunity that TransBnk targets with its “common operating system” offering treasury, liquidity, and escrow management microservices. TransBnk plans to use the fresh capital to expand geographically into Southeast Asia and the Middle East, as well as to strengthen its technology and product teams amid growing regulatory emphasis on AI in financial services. The startup currently works with over 40 banks and more than 220 clients, competing in a market alongside other API banking providers such as Decentro, Setu, and M2P Fintech. This funding round underscores the demand for digital infrastructure modernization in the B2B fintech space, which is projected to reach a $20 billion valuation in India by 2030.
