Everton Nears £40m Deal for Southampton Winger Tyler Dibling

Everton are close to finalizing a transfer deal to sign Tyler Dibling from Southampton, with the fee expected to be just over £40 million and including a 20% sell-on clause. After initial negotiations saw Southampton rejecting Everton's bids and demanding closer to £50 million, both clubs have moved towards a compromise, and personal terms with the 19-year-old winger have been agreed in principle. Dibling has expressed a strong desire to join Everton, despite interest from other Premier League clubs like Crystal Palace and Tottenham, and Everton are prioritizing securing this signing before the transfer window closes. The Southampton winger, who made 38 appearances last season scoring four goals and providing three assists, was gradually integrated into the senior squad this season and is regarded as one of the best young English talents. Everton’s recruitment team is confident in completing the deal, especially as the threat from Crystal Palace diminishes due to their pursuit of other targets.
