Cleveland Guardians slugger José Ramírez has been placed on paternity leave ahead of Father's Day to attend the birth of his third child. Ramírez, a five-time All-Star, is batting .269 with 18 home runs and 62 RBIs this season, ranking second in the majors for RBIs. He will miss up to three days, including the remaining games of the series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Outfielder Johnathan Rodríguez, who has been performing well in Triple-A with a .307 average and 12 home runs, has been recalled to fill Ramírez's roster spot.
