North Miami Beach Deputy City Manager Arrested

David Eugene Scott, the Deputy City Manager of North Miami Beach, was arrested and subsequently fired after being charged with possessing child pornography, specifically 15 counts related to the sexual performance of children. Police discovered illicit videos and images, some depicting extremely young boys, on his cellphone during an investigation initiated in 2023. The Miami Police Department's Special Victims Unit began the probe after a cloud storage service flagged suspicious files linked to Scott. Following his arrest at his home, North Miami Beach city officials expressed their intent to fully cooperate with ongoing investigations. Scott, who held the deputy city manager position since July 2023 and has an extensive career in public service, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.
