Nine Killed in Bengaluru Road Accidents

On Saturday, nine people, including two children and three students, were tragically killed in two separate road accidents in the Bengaluru Rural and Mandya districts of Karnataka. In the first incident on the Bengaluru-Pune National Highway, a container truck overturned and crushed a car carrying six members of a single family, leaving no survivors; the victims were identified as Chandra Yagapagol (44), Gourabai (42), and three children aged 6, 12, and 16. The truck driver, who claimed he lost control while trying to avoid another vehicle, is currently hospitalized with severe injuries. In a second accident near Mandya, three engineering students were killed when their vehicle collided with a truck; another student sustained critical injuries. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about road safety in the region, prompting police investigations and community mourning for the victims.
