Hyundai Cuts 2026 Ioniq 5 Prices Up to $9,800

With the federal $7,500 EV tax credit expiring Oct. 1, 2025, Hyundai sharply reduced 2026 IONIQ 5 prices—by as much as about $9,800 on some trims—to keep the model competitive and leverage increased U.S. production at its HMGMA Georgia facility. MSRP now starts at $35,000 ($36,600 including the $1,600 destination charge), and lineup-wide reductions average roughly $9,155, with top trims seeing similar large cuts. Hyundai said the 2026 price changes do not apply to the IONIQ 5 N and other Korea-built IONIQ models, and it will continue to offer $7,500 purchase/lease incentives on remaining 2025 IONIQ 5 inventory. The 2026 IONIQ 5 also gains minor updates including a dual-amperage Level 1/2 charger and new exterior colors. Hyundai said the moves aim to preserve the IONIQ 5’s sales momentum after a strong third quarter and year-to-date gains.
