The Global Gaming League (GGL), launching its inaugural season SZN Zero on August 23, 2025, has secured licensing agreements with six major game publishers—Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Capcom, EA, Tetris, and Ubisoft—to feature their games in its competitions. The league, described as "the NFL meets WWE," features celebrity-owned teams competing across multiple game genres including sports, fighting, racing, shooter, and classic, with titles such as Tetris, Call of Duty, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Brawlhalla, Tekken, and Rocket League. Notable celebrity owners include wrestler Ric Flair, rapper Flavor Flav, TikTok creator Bryce Hall, and rapper T-Pain, who also serves as the Executive Director of Strategy. GGL emphasizes its vision to unite gamers of all ages and generations through diverse game titles and aims to elevate the gaming industry by spotlighting publishers, hardware makers, sponsors, and gamers alike. The league operates out of The Campus by Vū in Las Vegas and has raised $10 million in funding to support the league and its educational initiatives. Clinton Sparks, GGL's founder and CEO, highlighted the league’s unique appeal in bridging different gaming communities and attracting a broad audience by combining celebrity influence with competitive gaming.
