Fijian rugby star Josaia Raisuqe, 30, died after his car was struck by a train at a level crossing near Castres, France, while en route to training. Raisuqe, a winger for Castres Olympique and a silver medallist with Fiji's rugby sevens team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, was pronounced dead at the scene. His club described him as a beloved teammate and a pillar of the Fijian community in Castres. Raisuqe had previously played for Stade Francais and Nevers and was set to join Brive next season.
