Primus Drummer Tim Alexander Leaves Band

Tim 'Herb' Alexander has abruptly left Primus, citing a loss of passion for playing, which took the band by surprise. In a statement, the remaining members expressed their disappointment but respect his decision, stating they will not cancel upcoming shows. For their annual New Year's performance, they will feature an augmented lineup with members of Holy Mackerel and Frog Brigade. Danny Carey from Tool will fill in for Alexander during the 'Live In The Sand Festival' in the Dominican Republic. Looking ahead, Primus plans to search for a new drummer for their 2025 Sessanta tour. Alexander has had a long history with the band, having joined in 1989 and experienced multiple departures throughout his career.
