Pro Football Hall Honors Assistant Coaches

The Pro Football Hall of Fame will honor longtime assistant coaches Dick Hoak, Elijah Pitts, and Jim McNally with the Awards of Excellence for the 2025 class. These coaches were announced as the fourth class of assistant coaches to receive this award. Dick Hoak served as the running backs coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers for 35 years, contributing to five Super Bowl victories and tutoring Hall of Famers Franco Harris and Jerome Bettis. Elijah Pitts had a successful playing and coaching career, winning five NFL championships and later coaching Hall of Famers like Earl Campbell. Jim McNally spent 43 seasons in the NFL, notably coaching Anthony Munoz at the Cincinnati Bengals and contributing to their two Super Bowl appearances. The ceremony, scheduled for June, will also honor recipients in other categories, such as public relations directors.
