A woman in Uttar Pradesh's Agra is seeking a divorce just 40 days into her marriage due to her husband's poor hygiene practices. The husband, Rajesh, reportedly bathes only once or twice a month and uses Gangajal, water from the Ganga River, for weekly purification. Despite bathing six times in 40 days at his wife's insistence, his lack of daily hygiene led to intense arguments, prompting his wife to move back to her parents' home. The woman's family also filed a dowry harassment complaint against Rajesh's family. Although Rajesh agreed to improve his hygiene, his wife remains unwilling to reconcile. The couple is scheduled to return to the family counseling center for further resolution.
