Protest in Moscow against Russian Mobilization in Ukraine

Several people, including journalists, were detained in central Moscow as relatives of Russian soldiers mobilized in Ukraine called for their return. The group, The Way Home, organized a demonstration where attendees demanded the return of their husbands, who were mobilized to fight in Ukraine. Saturday's demonstration was the ninth and largest of similar weekly gatherings organized by The Way Home. The call-up of 300,000 reservists in Moscow's war against Ukraine was widely unpopular and prompted many to flee abroad to avoid being drafted. The protest led to the arrest of 27 people, mostly journalists, according to OVD-Info, an independent website that monitors political arrests in Russia.
