Man Charged in CTA Red Line Stabbing
Trent Prusinski, 23, has been charged with multiple felonies, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, for allegedly stabbing a man on a CTA Red Line train near the Wilson Station in Chicago on September 2. The victim, a 37-year-old man, was critically injured and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Prusinski, who has a history of violence on public transit, including an attack on a CTA bus driver in 2023, was arrested near his home and appeared in court for a detention hearing. In a separate incident, Bobby Joe Holmes, 44, was charged with assault after stabbing a man at a Lansing, Michigan bus station on September 5. Holmes is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on September 20.
