Kaitlin Butts Signs Republic Records Deal, Prepares 'Yeehaw Sessions' EP Release

Kaitlin Butts, a rising Nashville-based country artist known for her viral hit "You Ain't Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me)," has signed a major label deal with Republic Records. To mark this milestone, she will release a five-song EP titled "Yeehaw Sessions" on November 14, featuring covers of songs by Jimmy Eat World, Chappell Roan, Don Williams, and The Chicks, along with a new recording of her viral track. Butts expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting Republic's alignment with her artistic vision and their enthusiasm to support her career. Her stripped-down cover of "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World serves as the lead single, showcasing her ability to reinterpret well-known songs with emotional depth and Oklahoma soul. The label, traditionally less prominent in country music, has been expanding its roster with artists like Miranda Lambert and Shania Twain, reflecting Butts' aspirations for a diverse and broad audience. She will celebrate the EP release with a headline show at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, Texas.
