Multiple Fatal Crashes Reported Across U.S. This Week

This week, multiple fatal traffic accidents occurred across the U.S. In north Lincoln, Nebraska, two people died and one was hospitalized after a red sedan, reportedly speeding and hydroplaning, crossed the center line and collided with a pickup truck; the pickup's driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. In Asheville, North Carolina, William Robinson, 56, died when his 1980 Chevrolet Corvette, possibly disabled by mechanical failure, was rear-ended by a Ford Escape on I-40, causing a fire and resulting in a three-hour road closure; the Ford's occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries. In Providence, Rhode Island, 49-year-old Santos Manuel Bonet was killed in a fiery I-95 crash and the driver, Licheva Castro, was arrested on multiple charges including driving under the influence resulting in death.
