Destiny 2 Renegades Star Wars Expansion Launches December

Bungie has announced Destiny 2: Renegades, a Star Wars-inspired expansion launching on December 2, 2025, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm. The expansion features a new setting called the Lawless Frontier across Mars, Europa, and Venus, which have been reimagined with Star Wars aesthetics like Hoth and Dagobah, and introduces the Praxic Blade, a customizable lightsaber-like weapon. Renegades continues the main narrative of Destiny 2's Fate Saga introduced in The Edge of Fate, focusing on Guardians working with criminal syndicates against the Baron Imperium, an Empire-like faction wielding a superweapon. The expansion integrates Star Wars elements deeply into Destiny 2's universe but has received mixed reactions, with some fans feeling the crossover is either a thrilling addition or an awkward fit. Alongside Renegades, Destiny 2 also recently launched the Ash & Iron update featuring new missions and activities, maintaining dynamic and evolving gameplay challenges.
