Milan's Walker Has Surgery, Faces 4-Week Recovery

AC Milan defender Kyle Walker has undergone surgery for a fractured right elbow sustained during training. The 34-year-old England international, on loan from Manchester City, had the operation in Milan to ensure optimal recovery, with rehabilitation set to begin immediately. Walker has made 12 appearances for the Rossoneri, who are currently ninth in Serie A and in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia. The injury comes with only seven rounds remaining in Serie A and an important match against Inter Milan on April 23. Milan's deal includes an option to purchase Walker permanently at the end of the season. Despite his injury, Walker's contributions have been significant since his January arrival, following a successful career at Manchester City where he won six Premier League titles.
