Public Voting Opens for Wildlife Photographer Award

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year has announced the shortlist for its People's Choice Award, featuring 25 stunning images selected from over 59,228 entries. Notable photographs include a red-shanked douc langur, a beaver performing a tail slap, and a European roller confronting a little owl. Members of the public are encouraged to vote for their favorite image until January 29, 2025, with winners to be announced in February and displayed online. Dr. Douglas Gurr stated that this award allows global participation in appreciating wildlife photography. Additionally, entries for the next year's competition are now open, with special opportunities for young photographers. The exhibition showcasing winning images will continue until June 29, 2025.
