Henry Slade Out Following Complex Shoulder Surgery
Henry Slade, England centre and Exeter Chiefs player, will miss the start of the Premiership season and is likely to be out for three to four months following shoulder surgery. Slade sustained the injury during the Six Nations and it worsened during England's summer tour to Japan and New Zealand. Rob Baxter, Exeter’s director of rugby, confirmed that the surgery was complex, making it difficult to pinpoint the exact return date, but anticipates a return in three to four months. This will impact both Exeter and England, as Slade will be racing to get fit for England's autumn internationals. Despite the setback, Baxter remains optimistic about Slade's recovery and future performance for both club and country.
