Traverse City Walmart Mass Stabbing Victim Retains Law Firm for Legal Action
A mass stabbing occurred at a Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan, on July 26, when 42-year-old Bradford James Gille attacked 11 people with a folding knife, resulting in multiple injuries. Gille faces terrorism and assault with intent to murder charges and has pleaded not guilty, remaining jailed on a $1 million bond. One of the victims, a 42-year-old man who was stabbed multiple times while protecting his family, has retained the law firm Morgan & Morgan to investigate possible negligence or security lapses at the store and to seek justice. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has activated the Crime Victim Compensation program to provide financial support for victims, covering medical expenses, counseling, and lost earnings. Authorities continue to treat and monitor victims, with most having been released from the hospital, while the motive for the attack remains under investigation. Bystanders, including a licensed pistol carrier, helped subdue the suspect until police arrived.
