Queen Mary Unveils New Rose Stone Tiara

Queen Mary of Denmark debuted her newly designed Rose Stone Tiara at a State Banquet honoring Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, held on December 6. The tiara, crafted from the historic rose-cut diamond belt originally created in 1840, was a collaborative effort with jeweler Matias Hasbo Dinesen. This event marked a celebration of Mary’s first year as monarch, where she also wore a gown adorned with the sash and star of the Order of Virtues, alongside King Frederik who donned the Order of the Nile. The tiara's design reflects the Danish royal family's tradition of repurposing crown jewels to maintain their relevance. Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte showcased their own tiaras, adding to the evening's regal atmosphere.
