Two Bus Accidents Kill 52 in Afghanistan

Two devastating bus accidents on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in Ghazni province have resulted in at least 52 deaths and 65 injuries. The first incident involved a passenger bus colliding with a fuel tanker, while the second occurred when another bus struck a truck. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid expressed deep regret over the fatalities and called for an immediate investigation to prevent future tragedies. Rescue teams quickly transported the injured to local hospitals, with serious cases being sent to Kabul for treatment. Traffic accidents are a frequent occurrence in Afghanistan, often attributed to poor road conditions, reckless driving, and insufficient regulation.
