Hojbjerg to Marseille

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has officially joined Olympique Marseille on loan with an option to buy, as confirmed by both clubs. The 28-year-old Danish international, who has made 184 appearances and scored 10 goals for Spurs since joining in 2020, had fallen down the midfield hierarchy under new head coach Ange Postecoglou. Reports suggest that Marseille may pay around £16 million ($21 million) if they choose to make the move permanent after his loan period. Hojbjerg is the seventh player to leave Tottenham this summer as the club undergoes a significant rebuild, with Spurs also pursuing new signings. His transfer aligns with the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi as Marseille's head coach, signaling a fresh start for Hojbjerg in Ligue 1.
