Pa. Woman Found Safe; Husband Charged With Kidnapping

A Westmoreland County woman, Lydia, reported missing after an alleged domestic incident, was found safe in Kentucky and a man with her—identified as her husband, Shawn—was arrested in Maysville and is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania on kidnapping and related charges. Authorities allege Shawn held Lydia at gunpoint in the woods, threatened to slice the throat of a child to force compliance, and then compelled her to drive across state lines. Investigators tracked the couple’s vehicle via a roadside camera to a hotel parking lot in Maysville, where Kentucky officers executed a search warrant and took him into custody. Separately, Louisville Metro Police confirmed 13-year-old Naomi Puterbaugh, who had run away without needed medication, was found safe. In Fenton, Missouri, officials canceled an Endangered Silver Advisory after a woman with dementia who had been reported missing was located safe.
