Harrogate Town Signs Halifax Midfielder Evans, Sutton Extends Contract
Harrogate Town have made significant moves in their squad ahead of the next season, re-signing midfielder Levi Sutton on a one-year contract after his January 2023 transfer from Bradford City. Sutton, who has made 94 appearances for Harrogate, is the second player to commit to the club this summer following goalkeeper Mark Oxley. Meanwhile, the club announced the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Jack Evans from Halifax Town, marking their first summer transfer. Evans, who previously played for Blackburn Rovers and Forest Green Rovers and made 65 National League appearances with Halifax, joins Harrogate as a free agent and will wear the number four shirt. Harrogate Town finished 18th in League Two last season and have not disclosed the length of Evans's contract. The club is still negotiating with other players, including Anthony O'Connor, Warren Burrell, and Jack Muldoon, while Josh March has left for Crewe Alexandra.
