Rangers Score 20 Runs in Blowout Win Over Angels
The Texas Rangers dominated the Los Angeles Angels in a 20-3 rout, featuring three three-run homers from Adolis García, Joc Pederson, and Kyle Higashioka, with Corey Seager adding his team-leading 21st home run. García's 17th homer came in a four-run first inning, Pederson contributed his seventh in the second, and Higashioka's 10th provided a 20-3 lead late in the game. The Rangers scored their most runs since a 20-6 victory over Minnesota in 2011, with García, Pederson, and Higashioka each driving in five runs, marking just the 10th time since 1920 that three teammates had five or more RBIs in a single game. Los Angeles starter Jack Kochanowicz, recently called up from Triple-A, struggled, allowing 11 runs (10 earned) in 3 1/3 innings, raising his ERA to 6.81. The Angels were leading 1-0 before García's homer ignited the Rangers' offense, which featured 22 hits total and saw every Ranger batter record at least one hit. The win gave Texas momentum in the AL West and the Wild Card race, with both teams off the following day and preparing for upcoming series.
