Peel Police Arrest 13 Charged in GTA Organized Home Invasion Ring

Peel Regional Police have dismantled an organized crime ring responsible for over 15 violent home invasions, robberies, stabbings, and vehicle thefts across the Greater Toronto Area, arresting 13 suspects including five minors. The investigation, known as "Project Ghost," uncovered that the group stole approximately $1.8 million worth of property, including luxury vehicles and jewelry, with about one-third recovered by authorities. The crime network operated with a sophisticated structure, using youth scouts to identify targets and adults to execute the crimes and sell stolen goods. The violent home invasions included incidents where victims were stabbed, with one victim left in critical condition. Police charged the suspects with a total of 197 offenses, including organized crime activities, attempted murder, firearms trafficking, and stolen property offenses. Authorities emphasized that the arrests send a strong message that violent crime and exploitation of youth will not be tolerated in the community.
