South Florida, San Jose State Face Off in Hawaii Bowl

San Jose State Spartans and South Florida Bulls are set to face off in the 2024 Hawaii Bowl on December 24th at the Clarence TC Ching Athletics Complex in Honolulu. San Jose State, under first-year head coach Ken Niumatalolo, enters the game with a 7-5 record, led by standout receiver Nick Nash, and seeks its first bowl victory since 2015. This marks the Spartans' third consecutive bowl game appearance and second consecutive Hawaii Bowl, having lost to Coastal Carolina last year. South Florida, with a 6-6 record under coach Alex Golesh, aims to secure back-to-back winning seasons after last year’s Boca Raton Bowl victory over Syracuse. It is South Florida's first participation in the Hawaii Bowl, adding to their history of bowl appearances, which includes a win in the International Bowl in 2010. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and is notable for being the only bowl game played on Christmas Eve.
