Miami's Ward, Restrepo Named All-Americans

University of Miami stars Cam Ward and Xavier Restrepo have been recognized as First-Team All-Americans by the American Football Coaches Association, following a standout season that helped lead Miami to a 10-2 record and a bowl appearance. Ward, who transferred from Washington State, finished fourth in Heisman Trophy voting and threw for over 4,120 yards with 36 touchdowns. Restrepo made history by becoming Miami's all-time leader in career receptions and receiving yards. Meanwhile, Ole Miss defensive linemen Walter Nolen and Princely Umanmielen were named to the AFCA All-American Second Team, showcasing their impact in their only season with the Rebels. Additionally, Penn State's Abdul Carter was named a First-Team All-American, inching closer to Consensus status, while tight end Tyler Warren received Second-Team honors. Both Miami's and Penn State's players are being celebrated for their record-breaking performances ahead of their respective bowl games.
