Mercedes-Benz, Microsoft Launch In-Car Teams This Summer

Mercedes-Benz is expanding its partnership with Microsoft to introduce advanced productivity features in its vehicles, starting with the new CLA model. The updated Meetings for Teams app enables drivers to join Teams calls using the in-car camera, but shared screens and slides are not viewable while driving, and the video stream is automatically managed to reduce distraction. These features are available only in countries where legally permitted. Mercedes-Benz is also integrating Microsoft Intune for secure enterprise account access and plans to add Microsoft 365 Copilot for voice-activated email summaries and task management. The initiative aims to turn vehicles into a 'third workspace' beyond home and office. The rollout is expected to begin this summer with the launch of the MB.OS-powered fourth-generation MBUX system.
